AI-powered Defender Faces Major Backlash from Legal Community  

Joshua Browder, the CEO of DoNotPay, is walking back his efforts to deploy an AI-driven legal defender after receiving threats of prosecution and prison. So reports NPR.

Browder said several state bar associations lambasted the idea, and one threatened a referral to a local district attorney’s office.
