Lawyer Quits, Emails Dirty Laundry to Clients, Colleagues

Don Prophete, 45, resigned from the Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak & Stewart's law firm in Kansas City, Missouri after what he described as a "completely unacceptable" response to accusations made by one of the firm’s lawyers that she had been harassed and discriminated against by an office manager, according to a Reuters report.

Judge Kenneth Post of Michigan has been sanctioned for sending Scott Millard to jail for contempt of court during a 2011 case after the attorney advised his client not to answer questions about alleged drug use, reads a Holland Sentinel story via the Associated Press.

An Arizona law has prohibited cities and counties that collect guns in buy-back programs from destroying the firearms, instead requiring they be sold to federally licensed dealers, according to a Los Angeles Times article.
