Judge OKs $1.3M Award to 'Scruff Face' Jesse Ventura Over Dead SEAL's Story

A federal judge upheld a jury’s $1.3 million unjust-enrichment award in a suit that wrestler-turned-politician Jesse Ventura brought against the author of the best-seller "American Sniper." So reports the Pioneer Press.

The book includes an untrue—and unflattering—story about a man identified only as 'Scruff Face,' whom the author claims to have punched. In interviews promoting the book, the now deceased author revealed that 'Scruff Face' is Ventura.

Since the book’s sales increased considerably after one such interview about the incident, the judge held that $1.3 million of the $6 million that the author collected in royalties for the book is a reasonable unjust-enrichment award.
