A California teen who was born male but identifies as female will be playing on the high school’s all-girl softball team thanks to a new Golden State law requiring schools to allow students to participate in sex-segregated activities “consistent with [their] gender identit[ies].” So Fox News reports.

The student played freshman baseball on the boy's team. At the time the student identified as male.
