Louisville Joins Cities Suing Kia, Hyundai for Making Theft Too Easy  

The city of Louisville announced a lawsuit against car makers Kia and Hyundai over an alleged manufacturer defect making the cars particularly easy to steal. So reports WLKY, a CBS affiliate.

hyundaiAfter a social media challenge led to a rise in attempted thefts of the vehicles, Louisville Metro Police Department reported thousands of Kia and Hyundai vehicles had been stolen, and many were used in the performance of other crimes. The lawsuit contends this spike in thefts has diverted law enforcement attention away from other crimes.
