SCOTUS to Look at Social Media Liability in Potential Blockbuster Cases  

Legal immunity from liability for internet companies will be the subject of two potential far-reaching U.S. Supreme Court cases dealing with the matter. So reports Digital Journal.

youtube 2433301 640 smallIn one of the cases, a complaint against Google alleges the company violated the US Anti-Terrorism Act by “recommending” videos from the Islamic State inciting violence on YouTube. Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act will be at the heart of the cases.
