Golf Player Hints at Legal Action After Analyst Accuses Him of Cheating

Golfer Patrick Reed’s lawyer sent a cease and desist letter to outspoken analyst Brandel Chamblee after the Golf Channel personally claimed Reed was a cheater. So reports The New York Post.

golf 1284012 640Brandel said Reed intentionally broke rules during a tournament in the Bahamas, a claim Reed disputes. The letter, which hints at legal action, was sent to “obtain assurance that you will refrain from any further dissemination, publication or republication of false and defamatory statements concerning Mr. Reed, including any allegations that he ‘cheated’ at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas,” according to the article.
