Former New York Yankees minor league player Garrison Lassiter filed a $34 million lawsuit against the team after allegeing “an insidious effort by the Yankees to sabotage his baseball career at the request of superstar shortstop Derek Jeter.” So reports Yahoo Sports.

jeter george bush 557576 1280The lawsuit, filed in December of 2018 in North Carolina, was ultimately dismissed. Lassiter said a position change from shortstop, his natural spot, to third base, limited his playing time. He also alleges some MLB players are “crippling the game” by using their salaries to influence decision-makers who then hold back prospects.
