'Smirking Teen' Who Confronted Native American Activist Has Suit Dismissed

The $250 million defamation suit filed by Nicholas Sandmann against The Washington Post has been dismissed. So reports CBS News.

The teen, who was featured in a viral video smirking and standing in the way of a Native American activist on the National Mall in Washington D.C., was the subject of several articles and tweets from the newspaper. Judge William O. Bertelsman ruled the newspaper’s messaging was protected by the First Amendment. An appeal is expected.
