Former Attorney General Eric Holder told a gathering of 300 attorneys in Hartford that "America's longstanding democratic institutions are under assault by the Trump administration’s policies" and called on residents to come together to fight back. So reports The CT Mirror.

Holder also said "we kicked their asses" when speaking about the Trump administration's efforts to get a citizenship question on the census. He made the comments during the third annual “Celebrating Leaders for Justice” event hosted by the Greater Hartford Legal Aid group. In the speech, Holder emphasized the importance of diversity in the legal field and highlighted the importance of providing a legal assistance lifeline for those in need.
