Coalition of States Back Student Suing Over Florida Bathroom Law

A 20-state coalition is backing a transgendered student in Florida suing over discrimination. So reports The Hill.

The student, Drew Adams, is fighting St. Johns County School Board’s bathroom policy, which requires students to use restrooms corresponding to their gender identity. The case is being heard in the Atlanta-based 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Adams claims the policy violates the 14th Amendment and Title IX discrimination protections.
