Fiat-Chrysler Could Pay out $2.8K to Customers in Class Action Settlement

Fiat-Chrysler may be on the hook for more than $800 million after allegedly using illegal software to cheat emissions inspections. So reports ABC News.

The settlements and fines come in the wake of accusations the company tried to beat inspections on 100,000 diesel vehicles. In addition to government penalties, the company may be required to pay out an average of $2,800 for each affected customer. It is unclear if the administration will pursue criminal charges.
