Order of St. Benedict Sues Lawyer for Breaking Sex-abuse Confidentially Clause

The Order of St. Benedict is suing attorney Gregory Gianforcaro for allegedly disclosing the details of a sex abuse settlement involving a former student at the Delbarton School. So reports the Daily Record

As he was trying to lift the “gag order,” Gianforcaro mentioned at a news conference the confidential agreement was “seven figures.” The Order, which runs the school, claims that assertion violated the confidentiality clause.

Lawyers for the school argued Gianforcaro should not have called a press conference regarding the gag order, while Gianforcaro’s attorney argued he is not bound by the agreement since he did not negotiate the settlement.
