SCOTUS Considers Options in Google Class-action Settlement Netting Nothing for 129M Users

The Supreme Court weighed how to proceed with an $8.5 million class-action settlement regarding Google's privacy policies, as virtually none of the payment will be distributed to the 129 million Google users involved in the suit. So reports the Associated Press

All of the money went to lawyers and nonprofit organizations. The case stems from searches users performed with respect to themselves. The recipients of the money were also of concern to the justices.
