Chelsea Bombing Suspect Ejected from Courtroom

Ahmad Khan Rahimi, charged with detonating a bomb in Chelsea last year, was removed from court during the opening statements of his trail. So reports The New York Times.

He later apologized, explaining he disrupted the proceeding because his wife was barred from visiting him in jail. The trial has, so far, featured accounts from those injured in the blast and videos capturing the events.

Rahimi said he complained the Bureau of Prisons and F.B.I. each indicated he should take the visitation matter to the other agency. Judge Richard M. Berman said the issue would be investigated, but insisted Rahimi behave properly while in the courtroom.
