Girl Booted from Catholic School After Suing to Play on Boys’ Basketball Team

On the heels of a lawsuit seeking to compel a private school in New Jersey to let their daughter play on the boys’ basketball team, seventh-grader Sydney Phillips’ parents were informed Sydney and her sister will no longer be allowed to attend the St. Theresa school. So reports The New York Post.

The school charter states the school can boot a student whose family brings a lawsuit against the school. A judge previously denied Sydney’s request to force the school to let her play. The family has filed an appeal.
