Authorities Subpoena Chipotle About Norovirus Outbreak

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California and the FDA are requiring Chipotle to produce documents connected to a restaurant in California that was linked to a norovirus outbreak this past summer. So reports NBC News.

The subpoena demanding the documents was disclosed in regulatory filing submitted by the restaurant chain. Chipotle sales also suffered as a result of an E. coli outbreak linked to its restaurants in late October and November and a separate norovirus outbreak at a Chipotle restaurant in Boston. The company has taken out advertisements promising to improve its cooking methods and food-safety testing
