Mom Sues Daughter Over $1M Lottery Winnings

A 51-year-old mom, Barbara Quiles, is suing her daughter in a Brooklyn court for making off with a $1 million lottery jackpot that she allegedly authorized the daughter to cash because Quiles was too sick to do so herself at the time. So reports The New York Post.

Quiles claims she purchased the ticket and authorized her then-19-year-old daughter, Linza Ford, to claim the money while Quiles maintained full access to the winnings. Quiles further alleges that the money was initially put into a bank account to which both Quiles and Ford had access, and that Ford then left town, cut off Quiles’s access to the account, and drained the account of the money.
