Employment Landscape Is Looking Brighter for Lawyers

The top global law firms are seeing increased profits, and lateral moves for New York lawyers are on the rise. So reports The New York Times.

For graduates of the top law schools, employment rates and starting salaries are as high as they were before the financial crisis. And attorneys who graduated law school during the financial crisis should take heart; one study shows that, though lawyers’ salaries undoubtedly suffer when they’re unemployed early in their careers as a result of an economic downturn, the negative impact on their income “fades as times get better and graduates gain experience.”
