Snuggie Company Settles Fraud Charges for $8M

Allstar, a company that sells several famous mail order products including the Snuggie, will pay $8 million to settle charges that its television advertisements and ordering processes defrauded customers. So reports CNNMoney.

The claims, brought by the New York Attorney General’s Office, alleged that Allstar’s television commercials for its products, which include the Perfect Brownie Pan and the Perfect Bacon Bowl, did not state that customers would be charged two separate processing and handling fees on the company’s two-for-one offers, and that the ordering processes for the products were similarly confusing.
