High Profile Advocate of Sunday Booze Sales Charged with Drunk Driving

A woman hired to campaign for the repeal of an Indiana law banning the sale of alcohol on Sunday has been charged with drunk driving. So reports the Indianapolis Star.

The woman, Republican political operative Megan Robertson, crashed into a fast food restaurant in the Hoosier State on Christmas Eve. Her blood alcohol level right after the accident was more than twice the state’s legal limit, according to a police affidavit. She now faces up to a year in prison and a $5,000 fine.
