NJ Lawyer Calls Opposing Counsel a ‘Fag,’ Gets Suspended

The New Jersey Supreme Court has suspended an attorney for making offensive remarks to opposing counsel and lying. So reports the Legal Profession Blog.

The attorney, Jared E. Stolz, admitted that, while defending an insurance company in a residential fire case, he made inappropriate remarks, including calling opposing counsel a “fag.” The District Ethics Committee found that Stolz also made a false statement to the tribunal in the fire litigation. Accordingly, the DEC suspended him for three months.
