Actor Jason Patric Can Pursue Paternity Claim: Calif. Court

A California appellate court has held that the actor Jason Patric may pursue a paternity claim over a 4-year-old boy who he fathered with his ex-girlfriend via in-vitro fertilization. So reports Time.

At the time Patric agreed to the in-vitro fertilization, he wrote the ex-girlfriend a letter saying that he was not ready to be a father, but that it was okay for her to use his sperm to conceive. The appellate court’s decision was based on its finding that Patric had developed a familial relationship with the child.
