Pokémon Go Undergoing Changes After Homeowners Sue

Niantic, developer of the augmented reality game Pokémon Go, has agreed to make changes to the game after settling a lawsuit with homeowners who had "PokéStops located near their homes." So reports The Verge.

The company added new features, which will be binding over the next three years, should a judge approve the arrangement. The deal will compel Niantic to address claims within 15 days and remove stops located within 40 meters of a given property.

The company will also maintain a database to prevent stops from showing up nearby. Damages could also include up to $1,000 per plaintiff, although no specific amount has been agreed upon.
