First Ever for 'First Step Act'

Arizona students who took certain online courses and attended several for-profit schools will see $22 million in debt reduction. So reports the Associated Press.

More than 6,000 students will be eligible in the settlement with Career Education Corp. (CEC) and it's related organizations. CEC was said to have "engaged in unfair and deceptive practices, including misleading prospective students about actual costs, the transferability of credits, accreditation, program offerings and accurate job placement rates."
