MGM Resorts Sues Vegas Concert Shooting Victims

MGM Resorts International is suing the victims of the mass shooting that left 58 dead and approximately 500 wounded. So reports Bloomberg.

The company is arguing it is not liable for damages related to the incident based on its compliance with the Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act. It hired the Contemporary Services Corp., certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, to provide security, which it argued puts it in compliance with the 2002 Act.

MGM has taken heat from opponents of the lawsuit who claim it is insensitive to the victims.
