Frat Boys Seek Day in Court, Millions from Syracuse University

Five Theta Tau fraternity members are suing Syracuse University claiming their rights were violated and they were subjected to “ridicule and scorn” upon being disciplined for participating in an event featuring the use of racial slurs and the mocking of a disabled person. So reports NBC affiliate WHEC.

The anonymously filed lawsuit seeks at least $1 million for each of the members and their academic standing restored. The university expelled the frat and 18 of its members face disciplinary action as a result of the event.
