Boehner Pushes Pot to Fight Opioid Crisis, Smooth Legal Discrepancies

Former U.S. House Speaker John Boehner has joined a cannabis company’s advisory board, and said he now supports the legalization of marijuana. So reports an WHAM 13, an ABC affiliate.

Boehner joined with Acreage Holdings and said legalized marijuana would help combat the nation’s opioid epidemic, would be beneficial to veterans, and would help reconcile conflicting state and federal laws. Acreage Holdings also announced former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld will sit on its advisory board.
