Oregon Man Sues Gun Retailers Over Age Restrictions

Tyler Watson, a 20-year-old man from Oregon, filed a lawsuit against retailers Dick's Sporting Goods and Walmart, claiming they discriminated against him due to his age by refusing to sell him a gun. So reports NBC affiliate WHEC News 10.

The two stores restricted gun sales to those 21 and over after a fatal school shooting in Parkland, Florida. According to the article, the alleged 19-year-old shooter legally bought an AR-15 prior to the incident.

Watson is seeking remedy for what he claims is age discrimination against 18, 19 and 20 year olds as well as "unspecified punitive damages."
