Uber Settles Class Action with 2,421 NY Drivers

Uber settled with 2,421 New York drivers for $3 million after the employees claimed they were underpaid per their contract. So reports Engadget.

The drivers also claimed the company misrepresented potential earnings. As a result of the settlement, the drivers will now be classified as independent contractors. Last year, Uber agreed to pay an average of $900 each to tens of thousands of drivers allegedly underpaid.
