Judge Tosses Madonna’s Lawsuit Against Co-op Board  

A judged dismissed a lawsuit filed by recording artist Madonna after she claimed the co-op board governing her New York City apartment illegally changed the terms of her lease. So reports Curbed.

The Manhattan judge said she waited too long to file the suit. The co-op board amended her lease in 2014, six years after she purchased it, to prevent her friends, family and associates from living in the apartment while she was not present. 

Madonna didn’t file the suit until 2016. The judge said she had four months to challenge the new lease language, but may still pursue legal actions aimed at recovering attorney’s fees.
