Dads of Suspended Students Who Received Sext Take Case to Federal Court

Andrew Fenton and Thomas Phelan, fathers of students at Kings Park High School in Long Island, are suing the school district, among others, after their sons were suspended for receiving an “unsolicited” text allegedly featuring other students having sex. So reports The New York Post.

The fathers claim the suspension is out of turn, as the text was deleted immediately and was never on their phones while they were on school grounds. Before bringing the case to federal court, the parents brought the matter to the school board and state Education Department, with varying degrees of success.
