Pharma Bro Offers $5K for Lock of Hillary Clinton’s Hair, Gets Bail Revoked

Former pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli’s bail was revoked after he reportedly offered $5,000 for Hillary Clinton’s hair. So reports The New York Times.

Shkreli is awaiting sentencing after being convicted of fraud. While free on $5 million bail, Shkreli allegedly posted twice to social media he would pay for a lock of the former presidential candidate’s hair.

A Federal District Court Judge said the post could be perceived as a threat and is not protected by the First Amendment. Despite claiming the post was satirical, and later removing it, prosecutors feared his followers might act on the offer.
