Knicks Great Oakley Sues Owner Under ‘Disabilities Act’

Former New York Knick’s star Charles Oakley has sued team owner James Dolan in federal court after Oakley was kicked out of Madison Square Garden in February. So reports The New York Daily News.

Oakley is suing for defamation and discrimination, among other claims, alleging his reputation was impacted by claims he was drunk during the incident. The Knicks’ forward was forcibly removed while watching the Knicks play the Clippers and was later charged with assault. However, the charge was eventually dropped.

He is also suing under the Americans With Disabilities Act, claiming he was discriminated against based on the perception he is an alcoholic.
