Hobby Lobby to Turn Over Artifacts Purchased for Bible Museum  

Retailer Hobby Lobby will hand over thousands of illegally smuggled Middle Eastern artifacts obtained for a Bible museum run by its president. So reports Reuters.

Hobby Lobby will forfeit close to 5,500 artifacts from Iraq that were allegedly shipped under false labels. Additionally, they will pay $3 million to settle civil charges. Representatives from the crafts store said the company mistakenly relied on dealers who "did not understand the correct way to document and ship" the antiques. The items were labeled as "tiles" from Turkey.
