Husband of Judge Found in Hudson River Doesn't Believe Suicide Report

The husband of deceased New York State Court of Appeals Judge Sheila Abdus-Salaam said he does not believe his wife committed suicide, as authorities have speculated. So reports The New York Daily News.

Abdus-Salaam was found dead floating in the water about a mile from her Harlem home. An autopsy was inconclusive and the death has since been deemed “suspicious.” Additional tests to determine the cause of death are pending. Abdus-Salaam was the first black judge to serve on New York’s highest court.
