First Lady Wins ‘Millions’ from British Tabloid

The British tabloid The Daily Mail will pay unspecified damages to settle two lawsuits after the paper published an article implying first lady Melania Trump “provided services beyond simply modeling” before she married Donald Trump. So reports USA Today.

The publication apologized and retracted its assertions. One of Trump’s attorneys said the article damaged her ability to build her business and threatened her status as a “successful businesswoman.” Attorney Charles Harder said The Daily Mail agreed to pay “millions” of dollars in damages and a full reimbursement of legal fees.
