Reputed Mob Boss Seeks Millions After Prison Ping-Pong Accident

Reputed Colombo crime boss Thomas (Tommy Shots) Gioeli is suing the federal government after sustaining injuries playing ping-pong at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. So reports The New York Daily News.

Gioeli is asking for $10 million after the August 29, 2013, incident. He was sent to prison after a jury found him guilty of “racketeering conspiracy connected to murder plots,” the article reads.

Gioeli claims prison officials were negligent and did not appropriately address a “hazardous wet floor” near the recreation area. He also said a leaky slop sink pipe went unrepaired for an extended period of time. As a result, he said he slipped and was hospitalized. There is no trial date, as of press time.
