Former Apprentice Contestant Sues Trump for ‘False Statements’

Former "The Apprentice" contestant Summer Zervos is suing President Donald Trump for defamation. So reports NBC News.

Zervos is suing Trump after he made "allegedly false statements" regarding her accusation of unwanted advances. Zervos is being represented by attorney Gloria Allred.

The suit alleges that Trump made statements he knew would lead to retaliation. Trump has denied he engaged in inappropriate behavior and said the accusations against him are false.

The suit also alleges emotional distress and calls for financial damages. Allred said her client would be willing to drop the suit without seeking any damages if Trump agrees to retract his statements and admit her claims against him are true.
