Muslim Cop Sues NYPD Over Beard Prohibition

A Muslim New York Police Department officer is suing the NYPD, claiming their department’s prohibition on beards inhibits his religious freedom. So reports Time.

Masood Syed was suspended for refusing to shave his beard, and has filed a class action suit. He will continue to be paid until a ruling is rendered.
