Led Zeppelin Icons Accused of 'Hiding' to Avoid 'Stairway' Trial

Jimmy Page and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin have been accused of stealing part of the band's famous anthem "Stairway to Heaven," and are being accused of "hiding" overseas to avoid participating in an upcoming trial. So reports Business Insider.

Michael Skidmore, a trustee for the estate of Spirit songwriter and guitarist Randy Wolfe, accused Page and Plant of stealing music from the song "Taurus" when writing part of "Stairway to Heaven."

The plaintiff's counsel filed a complaint about the duo's failure to be available for proceedings. Lawyers for Led Zeppelin says the band members cannot be forced to attend. Page and Plant deny ever having heard "Taurus" and said they did not copy any part of it.
