Sperm Bank Clients Sue After Learning Truth About Donor

A San Francisco lawyer is representing 15 families that collectively conceived 23 children using the sperm of a donor who they eventually learned has schizophrenia and a criminal record. So reports The New York Times.

The families are suing Xytex Corp., in Augusta, Ga., for allegedly misleading them about the donor. They learned of the donor’s background through research after Xytex included his name and contact information in an email sent around as part of a donor sibling registry.
