School OK to Ban American Flag Shirts at Cinco De Mayo Party: Court

A federal appeals court last week held that the principal of a California high school acted constitutionally when he told students wearing American flag t-shirts to turn them inside out in the interest of maintaining peace during the school’s Cinco De Mayo celebration, which had inspired altercations between the school’s white students and Mexican students the year before.
