Suit Seeks Clarification of Assisted Suicide Law

A New Mexico court last week heard testimony in a lawsuit filed against the state by plaintiffs who want the court to clarify that physicians who prescribe medication to assist terminally-ill patients in ending their lives will not be prosecuted under a decades-old New Mexico law that makes it a fourth-degree felony.
