NY Regulators Get OK to Sue OCC Over Fintech Charters

New York regulators got the go-ahead to continue a lawsuit aimed at inhibiting fintechs from offering bank services nationally. So reports PYMNTS.

Manhattan Federal Judge Victor Marrero ruled the New York State Department of Financial Services is allowed to proceed against the Office of Comptroller of the Currency. The lawsuit was launched in September, when the New York State agency claimed the OCC overstepped its powers by creating a fintech charter program.
