U.S. Women's Soccer Scores Goal in Gender Discrimination Lawsuit

A federal judge ruled members of the women's national soccer team will be allowed to move forward with a gender discrimination lawsuit as a class. So reports CNN.

The lawsuit was filed against the U.S. Soccer Federation in a district court in California. The 28 members of the team who are plaintiffs argue the organization's payment practices amount to discrimination as they pay women less than men "for substantially equal work and by denying them at least equal playing, training, and travel conditions; equal promotion of their games; equal support and development for their games; and other terms and conditions of employment equal to the [men's national team]."
