Justice Dept. Layers: 'Soap and Toothbrush' Not a Definite for Detainees

A lawyer from the Justice Department “suggested” at a hearing that detained migrant children do not “necessarily” need soap and toothbrushes in order to meeting sanitary condition standards. So reports The Hill.

The hearing came in response to accusations authorities violated a settlement dealing with the conditions required for detainees. Contention over the length of stay for those who might require the items was at the crux of the arguments
