Housing Right to Counsel Project Relaunches As D.C. Evictions Spike  

Low-income renters in Washington, D.C. will have free legal services available to them thanks to the recently relaunched Housing Right to Counsel Project. So reports WTOP News.

Legal Aid DCThe coalition consists of 19 private firms and six nonprofits. According to Legal Aid DC, 300 residents were able to obtain legal services through the organization between 2016 to 2019, and now that pandemic-era eviction moratoriums have been lifted, an increase in legal actions has ensued.
