The lawsuit came days before the rules were set to take effect, and it was filed in a U.S. District Court. The lawsuit was brought by Dr. Beverly Gray, a Duke University OB-GYN and Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, and it argues certain provisions in the law are “unclear and unconstitutional” and will ultimately “impede health care professionals from providing quality care.”
