Judge Hints Spitzer Call Girl Likely Headed to Prison

Former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s alleged call girl, Svetlana Travis Zakharova, faces a number of charges after authorities say she extorted $400,000 from Sptizer. A Manhattan Supreme Court judge hinted she is likely headed to prison. So reports The New York Post.

Prosecutors allege Zakharova threatened to expose her relationship with Spitzer and accepted “hush money” payments ranging between $3,000 and $50,000 from 2014 and 2016. Zakharova pleaded not guilty to second-degree grand larceny, which could come with a 15 year prison sentence. She has been accused of 16 felonies over the course of two years.
